Imagine Martin is Going Hog Wild!
The project “Going Hog Wild in Martin County” showcases the county’s charm and community spirit through an artistic and interactive display of 101 concrete hog statues, each uniquely painted by 25 local artists. Sponsored by more than 100 local businesses and organizations, the statues highlight Martin County’s strong ties to the pork industry while celebrating creativity and collaboration.
Made possible through generous support from the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council, the Martin County Area Foundation, and the Schmeeckle Foundation, the project serves several purposes: to promote local businesses, celebrate local art, honor the pork industry, and attract tourism. Each hog represents a participating business or organization, enriching the cultural landscape and creating a vibrant, countywide art experience.
The impact has been both cultural and economic—enhancing community pride, supporting local businesses and artists, and offering a fun, engaging attraction for residents and visitors alike.
