DOWNTOWN FAIRMONT STREET PIANO
Inspired by the words of Johann Sebastian Bach, several years ago Fairmont MN's first Street Piano found its home on Downtown Plaza thanks to the generosity and vision of The Giddy Up Boutique. Sponsored by Imagine Martin, the Street Piano continues to invite everyone to stop, play a tune, and snap a photo while tickling the ivories.
Downtown Fairmont's Street Piano has gone through several reincarnations over the years, each one bringing its own unique style and personality, it continues to inspire creativity and bring people together, one song at a time.
For its first and second years, the Street Piano featured artwork inspired by the timeless masterpieces of Vincent van Gogh, transforming the piano into a colorful public work of art that quickly became a favorite downtown attraction.
In its third year, the Street Piano received a stunning new artistic makeover thanks to the creative talents of Alexandra Hurney Artist/ The Wicked Fox, whose imaginative design gave the piano an entirely new personality and continued the tradition of blending art and music in the heart of downtown.
Now, in its fourth year, the Downtown Fairmont Street Piano returns with another exciting transformation. This year's Beatles-inspired design, created through a partnership between Imagine Martin and The Giddy Up Boutique, celebrates the music of the Fab Four while bringing art, music, and smiles to the heart of downtown.
